Now when you place a reference laboratory test order online, your courier pickup will be scheduled.
Note: The experience may vary in between PIMS platforms.

When placing a reference lab test order online, a courier pickup window appears. The next available pickup will be scheduled unless you select an alternative time. Or select “Schedule later.” No separate call is needed.

IDEXX Courier Manager

Courier Manager in VetConnect PLUS

Access the Courier Manager using the truck icon in VetConnect PLUS. View upcoming pickups; cancel or reschedule if specimens are not ready. Pickup history shows past visits and whether specimens were collected.

Courier Manager in ezyVet

Access the Courier Manager in the upper left corner within ezyVet Software.

Courier Manager in Neo

Courier Manager is also available within Neo Software.

Track order status directly in VetConnect PLUS

Track in-progress orders directly in VetConnect PLUS web or in our mobile app. See the order status by patient and individual test, so you'll always know when your results will be ready.

We are rolling out another innovative online tool to help you save time and take some work out of your workflow.
IDEXX online courier scheduling gives you better visibility and control over your specimen pickups.

No action needed. You can still rely on current schedules and even call to speak with our Customer Support team if you prefer. But just like the Order Status tracker, the Courier Manager is an innovative new tool to help save time and effort, at no cost to you.

When you place a reference lab order online, we will schedule the next available courier pickup. No phone call is needed.

  • No need to call to book a specimen pickup.
  • Existing automatic pickups will remain as planned.

Courier Manager is a new tool that provides additional, optional functionality to manage courier schedules and activity:

  • Provides visibility into upcoming available and scheduled pickups.
  • Enables you to proactively manage pickups, schedule additional pickups, or decline/cancel scheduled pickups.
  • Displays your courier pickup history.

Online courier scheduling

  • Works for all digital orders submitted to IDEXX Reference Laboratories.
     

Courier Manager

  • Available within VetConnect PLUS or your IDEXX PIMS (Neo, ezyVet, and coming soon in Cornerstone software).
    Not available in all third-party PIMS platforms.

Current automatic pickups remain unchanged.

A pickup is not automatically scheduled if your practice is not eligible OR if certain conditions apply. For example:

  • The lab order is digital-only (e.g., digital cytology) and doesn’t require a specimen pickup.
  • A pickup is already confirmed on your route, or you decline pickup during ordering.
  • You place an order using paper forms.
  • The order is placed after cutoff time, which would then schedule the next available pickup on the next day.

We are gradually introducing online courier scheduling features in 2026. You and/or your practice will receive an email notification
before it is available for you.
