The Pulse Of Veterinary Medicine
Vet-To-Vet Conversation With IDEXX
This year's Western Veterinary Conference (WVC) is just around the corner - are you ready? Held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 4-8, this year's WVC offers in-depth sessions, hands-on learning opportunities, a full exhibit hall, and a number of great outdoor adventures.
The conference schedule is up and organized by role to make it easier to identify which sessions are best for you. There is something for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers, and veterinary students. In addition, WVC enables each of these roles to earn a wide range of CE credit hours—up to 57 hours total depending on role.
With such a full schedule at WVC, you’ll have your pick of some great learning and entertainment opportunities. One session that is unique both in its presenter and topic is the general session shared by Jewel Kilcher, acclaimed American singer, songwriter, actress, poet, painter, philanthropist, on Sunday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m.–noon. Jewel will be sharing stories from her life and work with her charity, Project Clean Water, as a way of offering hope, inspiration, and humor.
In addition to Jewel’s uplifting story, take some time to have a few laughs at the Hill’s Comedy Night with Kevin Nealon on Sunday, March 4, 7:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). Nealon is most known for his work on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and Showtime’s TV series Weeds as well as appearances in movies like Little Nicky and Anger Management.
