The planet we share

In pursuit of our environmental goals, we have completed initiatives and started multiyear projects to address greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, improve environmental data, and reduce plastic in our products and packaging, laying the groundwork for long-term impact reduction. Our environmental initiatives focus on:

  • Climate adaptation and resiliency
  • Circular economy and product stewardship
  • Sustainable packaging
  • Responsible internal waste and water use

The planet we share

Goals

Reduce our operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by 37.8% by 20301,9

Source 100% renewable electricity by 20301

Advance understanding of our Scope 3 GHG emissions1,10

Integrate sustainability considerations as required criteria for new product development and design1

Reduce amount of plastic and other material waste from current products and packaging1

  1. Goal as stated in our 2021 Corporate Responsibility Report.
  2. Global social initiatives include recommended grants from the IDEXX Foundation and contributions from corporate lines of business.
  3. Gender balance refers to the equitable representation of women and men between the range of 45% and 55%.
  4. Employees in people leadership roles (all levels).
  5. Global Senior Leaders are employees in compensation grades considered Director or above.
  6. Goal as stated in our 2021 Corporate Responsibility Report, with additional clarity added in our 2022 Corporate Responsibility Report.
