IDEXX Learning Center Announces Inclusion of IDEXX VetTest® Certificate Course in Curriculum at the Vet Tech Institute, Pittsburgh [Trade]
National trade school now encourages students to take online training course for the IDEXX VetTest® Chemistry Analyzer
More than 30,000 VetTest analyzers have been placed in practices throughout the world, providing comprehensive in-house laboratory results in minutes. The Vet Tech Institute uses the IDEXX Learning Center's comprehensive IDEXX VetTest Certificate Course and other online training to enhance its curriculum and give students an understanding of the diagnostic tools commonly used in today's busy practice.
Offered through the IDEXX Learning Center, the IDEXX VetTest Certificate Course is an easy-to-follow, self-paced online course that provides an overview of basic chemistry definitions and delves into the features, benefits and operation of the VetTest analyzer. In this course, students learn how to leverage best practices and utilize all the enhancements added to the VetTest analyzer over the past year. It also teaches ways to gain efficiencies in standardization, consistency and on-the-job training. Additionally, participants earn three CE credits and receive a certificate of completion.
"I took the course myself while working at an animal hospital and found it to be a valuable, real-world learning tool," said Lisa Szafranski, licensed veterinary technician and instructor at the Vet Tech Institute's Pittsburgh campus. "At the Vet Tech Institute, I encourage my students to take the course in preparation for their future careers as licensed veterinary technicians. We're very pleased with the results, and my students like the online training format."
The IDEXX Learning Center offers an extensive range of diagnostic and practice management training with online courses, Webinars, seminars, conference education and learning library. For more information, go to idexxlearningcenter.com.
