IDEXX Laboratories Announces Executive Vice President Johnny Powers to Retire in May 2016
WESTBROOK, Maine, February 12, 2016 — IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDXX) announced today that Johnny D. Powers, Ph.D., Executive Vice President, will be retiring from the Company in May 2016 and has stepped down from his current position effective February 8, 2016. Dr. Powers has been Executive Vice President since 2012 and has been employed by the Company since 2009.

During his tenure, IDEXX delivered several new breakthrough reference lab products and services to the veterinary market, including SDMA, and brought our reference lab quality and service to world-class levels. Johnny’s leadership has also been critical in completing several important business transformations over the last several years, including our fully-implemented all-direct strategy for US CAG Diagnostics,” said Jonathan Ayers, the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are fortunate to have a deep and talented leadership team to assist in the transition of Johnny’s accountabilities.
