IDEXX Laboratories Announces the Release of IDEXX-PACS 3.6 Imaging Software [Trade]
WESTBROOK, Maine, June 28, 2012—IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. announces the release of IDEXX-PACS Imaging Software version 3.6. This latest advancement in picture archiving and communication system (PACS) imaging software introduces Image Coach, which includes three new tools that implement best practices for image capture.
A real-time positioning aid, reference radiographs and exposure index make taking radiographs easy, even for new technicians. The positioning aid provides a graphic display and expert advice to ensure that the patient is positioned properly. Reference radiographs guide proper technique in capturing images and the exposure index provides immediate feedback to help optimize exposures. The Image Coach tools built into IDEXX-PACS 3.6 provide real-time guidance, resulting in better images the first time. This saves time for practitioners and clients and also minimizes patient discomfort.
“When veterinary practices choose IDEXX, they can be confident that our systems will adapt to their changing needs,” says Penny Guyton, Director of Marketing for digital products at IDEXX. “The ability to take a good radiograph comes with experience and Image Coach puts all that experience at your fingertips. Image Coach and the recent release of the IDEXX I-Vision Mobile application for the tablet demonstrate IDEXX’s commitment to ongoing upgrades and innovations that improve work flow and give veterinary professionals more time with clients.” Current IDEXX-PACS customers will receive the upgrade to version 3.6 at the beginning of July.
