Is Enterolert US EPA-approved?
Yes. Enterolert is approved by the US EPA as a method for enterococci detection in ambient waters. This includes fresh, marine or estuarine surface water used for recreation, propagation of fish, shellfish, or wildlife; agriculture; industry; navigation; or as source water for drinking water facilities. Enterolert is also included in the US EPA's proposed Ground Water Rule.

What species of enterococci can Enterolert detect?
Some species of enterococci that Enterolert detects are: faecalis, faecium, avium, gallinarum, casseliflavis, and durans.
