IDEXX VetTest® Chemistry Analyzer Specifications

Species	18 supported: canine, feline, equine, bovine, avian, ferret, goat, lizard, llama, monkey, mouse, pig, rabbit, rat, sea turtle, sheep, snake and tortoise

Sample Size	The VetTest® Chemistry Analyzer requires a minimum of 40 μL of sample to run one test plus 10 μL for each additional test.

Select patient information.
Insert slides at prompt.
Follow the "beep" prompts for pipetting.
The VetTest analyzer finishes the testing process and automatically downloads results to the electronic medical record.

Preparing a plasma sample

We recommend using a lithium-heparin tube with a gel barrier. Separate plasma from red cells within five minutes when using lithium-heparin.

Use the appropriate tube. Do not use EDTA.
Use the appropriate sample collection device.
Draw the sample gently. Transfer if necessary.* Use the correct blood-to-lithium-heparin ratio.
Gently invert the sample for 30 seconds to mix.
Centrifuge the samples.
