Diagnostic Health ProfileTake the guesswork out of diagnosing your clinically ill patientsOffers more comprehensive testing for your clinically ill patients:

Testing that’s flexible, convenient and accurate
Comprehensive Testing
- Gives you a comprehensive overview of your sick patients’ health status.
- Includes two panels per box of: ALB, ALKP, ALT, AMYL, BUN, CA, CREA, GGT, GLU, LIPA, TBIL, TP and GLOB.
- Includes amylase and lipase for identifying pancreatitis.
- GGT improves differentiation of certain types of liver disease in cats, and potentially identifying cholestasis in dogs with nonspecific increases in ALKP due to enzyme induction.
- Differentiated from the General Health Profile (GHP) by exchanging PHOS and CHOL for LIPA and GGT.
Added Flexibility
- The DHP complements your current protocols.
- The DHP can be used for all your clinically ill patients whose presenting signs are nonspecific so you can better target your next steps.
- Continue to use the GHP for establishing baselines, wellness and senior screenings.
Convenience
- Save time and money with economically priced, prepackaged panels.
- Increase efficiency in inventory with fewer single tests.
Accuracy
Trust the accuracy of the VetTest analyzer’s proven dry-slide technology.

Target the causes of common presenting signs
The Diagnostic Health Profile should be run on all your clinically ill patients to help target the causes of common presenting signs. It can be especially helpful where pancreatitis is suspected and in differentiating between certain types of liver disease
Acute pancreatitis
This can be a deadly condition and laboratory evaluation needs to be completed quickly to start appropriate treatment immediately. Running lipase and amylase together offers the increased sensitivity you need for quicker detection.
Liver Disease
GGT is an enzyme that increases the ability to differentiate between certain types of liver disease. If elevated ALKP is noted with a concurrent increase in GGT activity, specificity for liver disease in dogs increases to 94%. (Vet Med, May 2006, p.280)
Hepatic Lipidosis
Elevations of GGT and ALKP independently or simultaneously offer supportive evidence that cholestasis is present. In cats, a relatively greater increase in ALKP than GGT is suggestive of hepatic lipidosis.
The DHP offers the same insight into all the major organ functions as the VetTest® General Health Profile (GHP).
