7-year-old, neutered male domestic shorthair, Spidey
Spidey presented for acute anorexia, lethargy, vomiting and possible dehydration. After being diagnosed with diabetes mellitus 6 months prior to presentation, Spidey had been initially treated with 7 units of Vetsulin™ twice daily, which was slowly increased to 11 units twice daily based on his clinical signs. His polyuria and polydipsia had worsened during the previous 2 weeks. Furthermore, Spidey is an indoor/outdoor cat and had been missing for the 4 days prior to presentation. When he returned home, the owners reported that he was lethargic, anorexic and likely dehydrated. Read Spidey's case |
