Heater Block - Heater Block: Temperature 45°C ±5°C.
- Color must appear on the temperature strip for 15 minutes before starting the test
Device - Do not open the foil or put kits on the heater block until ready to run.
- Be sure a colored pellet is at the bottom of the tube.
- The device must be prespotted with control, sample and activation spots.
- Devices should be stored at 0°–7°C (32°–45°F).
Beta-Lactam Procedure - The sample should be well-agitated, raw, commingled bovine milk.
- Incubate the sample for 5 minutes (6 minutes maximum).
- Pour the sample onto the device; it should take approximately 30 seconds to reach the activation circle. The sample flow should never take more than 1 minute. Watch the device during this critical step.*
