IDEXX Digital Imaging Releases IDEXX-PACS™ 3.2 Imaging Software [Trade]

WESTBROOK, Maine, October 05, 2009—IDEXX Digital Imaging announces the release of IDEXX-PACS™ 3.2 Imaging Software. New tools and functionality in this upgrade improve nearly every aspect of how veterinarians and technicians use radiographs, such as capturing, viewing and enhancing images as well as sharing them with clients and colleagues. Available in English, French and Dutch, IDEXX-PACS 3.2 software works with the IDEXX-CR™ 1417 and IDEXX-DR™ 1417 Digital Imaging systems.

IDEXX-PACS 3.2 software puts two new image-management tools at users' fingertips. The Norberg Angle Annotation Tool is designed for presurgical planning and for determining and assessing hip laxity (hip dysplasia). To get a more comprehensive view of diagnostic detail, practitioners can now use Window and Level Magnify to zoom in on a portion of the radiograph and adjust the contrast and brightness within the magnified area.

This release also includes IntelliShare® Image Networking, which enables practitioners to retrieve images from any workstation in the practice. IntelliShare image networking also synchronizes mobile computers—a useful feature for practices with laptops. This flexibility, coupled with the ability to quickly create patient CDs for clients or referrals, makes it easier than ever for practitioners to maximize the value of their radiographs—and their overall investment in digital radiography.
