IDEXX Laboratories Launches IDEXX EquiView® Direct Digital Laptop Radiography System for Equine [Trade]

Unprecedented image sharpness and clarity in a laptop format support a more accurate diagnosis in the field

IDEXX EquiView Direct Digital Laptop Radiography System
WESTBROOK, Maine, January 15, 2007—IDEXX Digital Imaging, a division of IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDXX), has introduced a laptop configuration for its popular IDEXX EquiView® Digital Radiography System. This portable system has a lightweight design that provides a quick and effortless setup, supporting improved performance and diagnostic capabilities in the field.

The new laptop configuration offers instant viewing of images in their final format without the need for an entire study to be complete, and supplies the user with extraordinary image sharpness in just seconds—supporting a faster, more accurate diagnosis. Images can be easily adjusted, annotated, stored, printed and transferred via IDEXX-PACS™, the DICOM1-conformant open-communication software system built into all IDEXX Digital Radiography Systems.

"The introduction of a laptop option for the IDEXX EquiView portable direct digital radiography system further demonstrates IDEXX's commitment to meeting the needs of our customers," said Paul Dobbins, General Manager, IDEXX Digital Imaging. "Our goal is to consistently improve our customer's ability to deliver high quality service."

The system includes an innovative wireless trigger that reduces the number of cables, an important safety concern when working with horses.

IDEXX pioneered digital radiography in equine veterinary medicine with the launch of the first portable equine veterinary-specific digital system in 2001. Equine veterinarians in all 50 United States and 10 countries are realizing the benefits from the commitment IDEXX has made to providing outstanding digital radiology technology, services and support.
