New Installation Training
Cornerstone Implementation Plan (CIP)
When your practice begins preparing for the conversion and transition from your current practice
management software to Cornerstone, our IDEXX-certified implementation and education consultants
will be there to guide, advise and prepare you each step of the way. During the weeks prior to

your implementation and through the weeks following, an IDEXX Education Consultant will
work with you weekly over the phone, recommending self-paced training using the IDEXX Learning Center and/or
the Computer-Based Training CD, answering your questions, and ensuring you and your staff are successfully
prepared and effectively using your system.
IDEXX Education Consultants also train Cornerstone modules over the telephone.
For small practices with staff members who are capable of training themselves, our Education Consultants
are available by phone to deliver instructions and guidance using the IDEXX Learning Center and/or the
Computer-Based Training CD. One-on-One training may also be purchased on an hourly basis.
On-Site Education and Implementation We offer on-site training by IDEXX-certified
education consultants who will come to your practice, train you and your staff, and assist in coordinating the
implementation of Cornerstone and the transition from your existing system—offering guidance on how to
optimize the use of your Cornerstone software.
Classroom Education and Implementation IDEXX also offers classroom training by
IDEXX-certified education consultants in our facility in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This is the same education
you would receive on-site, but you will enjoy an environment free from the interruptions you may experience in
a practice setting.

Coaching Series
The IDEXX Cornerstone Coaching Series addresses more than just the technological aspects of using Cornerstone
in your practice. This systematic approach identifies gaps in knowledge and usage in your practice, provides
you with targeted training to overcome those gaps, and teaches you how to measure and direct your efforts
towards your ultimate implementation vision.

Series 2: Learn and Change
Interactive, instructor-led web courses to close the skill gaps that are keeping your practice from performing
and producing. Topics range from those that impact your workflow, like Electronic Medical Record or
Inventory, to staff turnaround issues addressed in Practice Manager or Client Care/Front Office training.

Series 3: Measure and Manage

coach your use of Cornerstone’s powerful measurement capabilities. You will learn how to evaluate your
implementation progress and determine the impact of training and change on your practice’s productivity

What are the advantages of online courses?
There are multiple benefits for busy staff, including:
- No travel time or expense
- Small classes
- Few Monday or end-of-month classes
- Course training materials that supports online learning sessions
- Learners have access to their practice data during training so that they may apply what they've learned immediately
- Screen sharing allows the instructor and learner to view each other's screens for optimal instruction and guided practice
On-Site Additional Coaching Whether you need training for new staff members, existing
staff remediation or have specific practice goals that require advanced instruction, we also offer customized
on-site instruction with an IDEXX-certified consultant who will visit your clinic to educate your staff.
We will work with you directly to focus your training on the goals you have for your practice, help you in
establishing a project plan for moving toward your goals and provide follow-up remote coaching to both
nurture and measure your practice growth.
