IDEXX Laboratories Launches Online Reminder Service for IDEXX Cornerstone® Practice Management System [Trade]

Westbrook, Maine, January 5, 2007IDEXX Computer Systems, a division of IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDXX), has launched the IDEXX Reminder Service, an online enhancement for IDEXX Cornerstone® practices that makes it possible for them to distribute quick, efficient, commercial-quality reminder cards to their clients. Currently available for all IDEXX Cornerstone software customers via the IDEXX Computer Supplies Web site (www.idexx.com/remindercards), the system is now fully integrated into IDEXX Cornerstone 7.0.

This fast and effective service gives practices the ability to process reminders right from their computers, eliminating the time-consuming tasks of printing, separating and stamping the cards. With the new service, reminders are processed in minutes instead of hours and it's easy to use. After running the notices, customers log into the online system, choose the card they would like to send, add special messaging, approve the layout with the recipient list and click "send". Cards that are ordered during normal business hours are mailed within 24 hours of the request. The service eliminates the need for extra staff hours and the eye-catching, commercial-quality cards are designed to increase response.

“We have completely changed the reminder paradigm in the veterinary clinic with the IDEXX Reminder Service. The client database has long been the primary source of revenue in the clinic, driven by the use of traditional postcard reminders. What was a tedious process lasting hours, sometimes days, is now gone. The service puts the fun and creative aspects into what is really a marketing and educational component of clinic management. Practices using the system have found that the service allows them to generate a targeted card and message to a group of clients with a noticeable increase in compliance. The results are higher volumes of inbound calls for appointments and fewer second reminders in the coming weeks. The IDEXX Reminder Service is just the start of a full suite of client education and clinic marketing tools,” says Scott Noerenberg, General Manager of IDEXX Computer Supplies.
