IDEXX Laboratories Joins with American Association of Equine Practitioners as Educational Partner [Trade]

Westbrook, Maine, September 15, 2006—IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDXX), is proud to announce that it is the newest Educational Partner of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP). This new relationship will create additional educational choices for AAEP member veterinarians, veterinary students and horse owners.

"We are delighted to join forces with AAEP to support equine health, as well as the success of the dedicated practitioners who provide the medical care," said Jonathan Ayers, President and CEO. "This partnership is consistent with our strategy to provide innovative solutions and technical advances to our equine customers."

IDEXX provides a range of products and services to equine care practitioners—with everything from diagnostics and consulting to therapeutic treatment and patient monitoring. The IDEXX equine line includes pharmaceuticals, digital radiography systems, an integrated suite of in-house laboratory equipment, rapid assay tests, telemedicine, reference laboratory services and practice management software.

Equine practitioners already know and use equine products like the IDEXX Equiview™ Digital Radiography System and SURPASS® (1% diclofenac sodium) Topical Anti-Inflammatory Cream.

"IDEXX has long supported the AAEP by providing veterinary education, and this partnership is a unique opportunity for us to add to that curriculum while enhancing our understanding of the goals and needs of AAEP members. We plan to use that knowledge to provide even more of what they’re looking for in the coming years," Ayers said.
